1 cup butter -- softened
1 cup butter-flavored Crisco
2 cups brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon salt
6 cups rolled oats
2 cups raisins
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Combine the flour, baking soda, sinnamon, cloves and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Stir in the oats and raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. With a fork dipped in water, flatten cookies slightly.
Bake for 10-12 minute until light and goldenDo not over bake. Let them cool for 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets to cool completely. Store in airtight container. Makes 6 dozen.
