1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup spice drops -- cut in half (no black)
Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture. Add oatmeal, coconut and spice drops. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375°
