Sharon's Broccoli Salad

1/2 pound bacon -- cooked and crumbled
2 heads fresh broccoli -- cut into bit-size pieces
1/4 cup red onion -- diced
3/4 cup dried craisins
3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1/3 cup sugar -- scant
1 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup sunflower seeds or sliced almonds

In a medium bowl, combine the broccoli, onion and craisins. In a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar, sugar and mayonnaise. Pour over broccoli mixture, toss to mix well. Refrigerate for at least two hours.

Before serving, add bacon and sunflower seeds.


Note: This is my favorite broccoli salad of all time.
